Attributes for Exchange 5.5 Mailboxes : Unauth-Orig
This attribute is an array of distinguished names which specifies the potential senders in our organisation that are not allowed to send mail to this mailbox.
Unauth-Orig
LDAP name | Unauth-Orig |
Data type | Distinguished name of another object |
Multivalue (Array) | Yes |
Heuristic | 20 => Replicated between sites, no operational attribute |
Access category | Admin access only |
Ex55 Database name | Unauth-Orig |
The DN entries in this array can be distribution lists or external custom recipients also. However, it is not allowed to fill in just a simple SMTP address in here - all entries have to be real distinguished names of objects from our own Exchange organisation.
If the attribute Unauth-Orig doesn't exists or if the list is empty, then mail can be received from all possible senders. There is also an attribute for a positive list according to recipient limitations: Auth-Orig.
When changing this attribute, the Exchange system will automatically create an according backlink attribute for the particular object that was entered here (in Unauth-Orig-BL). So you can check this backlink attribute of your mailbox to check if it is limited to send mail to another mailbox in the organization.
